Are you ready to give up dieting?

I’ve known for a very long time that you don’t have to have an eating disorder to be consumed by food rules or negative body image.

This is actually the reality for most people.

And it affects your quality of life. When you’re in your head about these things, you’re not able to be fully present or have the mental space to be your best self.

I’ll be honest with you - dieting is the biggest thing getting in the way of making peace with food and your body.

But I get that it’s hard to let go of something you have mixed feelings about.

Something that may feel like it’s helped you at some point, or served a purpose in your life.

That’s where I can help.

Hi and welcome!

I’m Shannon.

I'm so happy you're here.

Why I'm here:

I’ve been listening closely to people talk about dieting for years.

What I’ve heard over and over:

“If I weren’t on a diet/plan, I’d eat everything in sight.”

“I don’t even know how to eat anymore.”

“I wish food just wasn’t a thing.”

There’s such a loss of self-trust because it’s been years of following external rules instead of your own internal wisdom.

In today’s world, you're often told…

  • You should look a certain way, and if you don't, you should make efforts to change that.

  • You should intentionally try to lose weight if you don't fit into society's 'acceptable' standard for body size.

  • You should diet to be healthier, despite mounting evidence that shows chronic dieting leads to poorer health.

There’s another way.

Another way of relating to food and your body.

And I can help you find it.

What is Intuitive Eating?

We are all born intuitive eaters.

We only lose this ability when diet culture gets in our way.

The Intuitive Eating framework was developed by two dietitians, Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch in 1995.

It is an evidenced-based, mind-body health approach designed to help you return to your natural ability to eat intuitively.

Intuitive Eating is not another diet.

It is not a weight loss approach.

Intuitive Eating is a journey of self-discovery and connection to the needs of your mind and body.

It is a Food Freedom approach.
