And it affects your quality of life. When you’re in your head about these things, you’re not able to be fully present or have the mental space to be your best self. I’ll be honest with you - dieting is the biggest thing getting in the way of making peace with food and your body. But I get that it’s hard to let go of something you have mixed feelings about. First and foremost, I work with individuals who want to feel more connected to themselves. I’ve learned that when we lose sight of who we are, there are several common issues that can arise. My specialties include (but are not limited to): stress, anxiety, disordered eating, perfectionism, over-working, self-doubt, difficulty connecting with loved ones, isolation, and depression. Disordered eating is my area of expertise. Counselling this clientele requires a highly specialized skill-set. With over a decade of experience as an Eating Disorder Nurse and certification in Intuitive Eating Counselling, I use this expertise to benefit this population. As qualified therapists working in this specialty are limited, I prioritize spaces for clients looking to heal their relationship with food and body.</image:caption>
